We've been skateboarding practically forever. Self taught artists, designers and "skateboard
technology engineers", we live by the "Do It Yourself" ethic that skateboarders and other
independent souls embrace. We've been building things to ride and use while riding from the very
beginning.

Whether it be making pucks, gloves, skateparks, kneepads or whatever else we try, we're always
looking to improve and innovate. Darkspeed is an extension of this love for creating things. We
didn't set out to start a business, it just happened. We simply couldn't keep up with the requests
from people for the things we were making for ourselves and for our friends. Word spread quickly
and only a couple of years or so later our products are being used on every continent in the world,
(ok, Antarctica doesn't exactly count), and they have been used to win three world championships.

Not bad for some geeks who simply can't stop themselves from thinking about new ways to make
skateboarding even more fun than it already is. Thanks to everyone who has encouraged us along
the way, and thanks to you for buying our stuff or for even thinking Darkspeed is cool enough that
you've bothered reading any of this gibberish. -The Dark Tribe

The Darkspeed logo is not just a cool looking piece of art. It
has a lot of meaning and depth to it. It is our modern
interpretation of an ancient Celtic symbol called the Triskelion
and it nicely sums up our philosophy on skateboarding and life
in general.

On the physical plane of existence it symbolizes dynamic
principles that have been important to humans (and skaters)
since the beginning of time, themes such as action, motion,
speed, cycles, rotation, progress, and competition. Triangles
are the most stable geometric shape, and three triangles is
the symbol for radioactive material. Similarily, skateboarding
is an activity that radiates a lot of energy.

The Triskelion also has universal spiritual meanings: The
three spirals or legs represent common trinities of stability
and balance such as:
-Mind, Body, Spirit
-Father, Son, Holy Ghost
-Mother, Father, Child
-Past, Present, Future
-Power, Intellect, Love
-Creation, Preservation, Destruction
-Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll
-Huey, Duey and Louie
-Larry, Curly and Moe
